I grew up in the English county town of Dorchester, Dorset, where my parents ran the shop Osmond’s, the subject of my memoir, A Sweet Life – growing up in a Dorset sweet shop. After initially training as a nurse in Oxford, I became a lawyer in London, specialising in medical negligence. More recently I have run my own personal branding and communication skills consultancy, appearing on Sky news and BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour as a media commentator.
I loved creative writing as a child and am so pleased to have rediscovered it as an adult. Aside from writing, I enjoy running, travelling around France and Italy (I am still in touch with the French pen friend I first met age fourteen) and encouraging others to be creative.
A Sweet Life was published in June 2017. I am now editing a novel and have written a script.
